Join your Student Leaders and Chef Emilio for a St. Paddy's Day theme baking class! In this class, you will learn how to safely make delicious baked donuts (without buying a deep-fryer) and enjoy 2 dozen donuts for under $5!
Take a look at the recipe list below and grab your ingredients ahead of time.
Get Ready for the Baked donut Class. Here’s what you’ll need
two mixing bowls
piping bag
donut baking sheet (ones with the circle indent)
Whisk
To make the donut, grab these ingredients:
1 2/3 cups (236g) all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
4 Tbsp (56g) unsalted butter, melted
2 Tbsp (30ml) vegetable oil
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs, brought to room temperature
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup (175ml) buttermilk, brought to room temperature
To make the glaze, here’s what to have:
1 1/3 cups (160g) powdered sugar
2 Tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 Tbsp (20ml) milk, then more as needed
1/8 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Splash of green food coloring (optional)
